Featured on Komo TV, CBC radio, NPR From the Top, and UK channel 4 TV on "The World Greatest Prodigies," Oliver Aldort is a cellist, pianist and a budding conductor. A national winner of MTNA 2007, SYAMF winner 2008, 2010, and a soloist with orchestras on both instruments since the age of ten. Aldort gave his debut recital at the age of seven. He first conducted at age fifteen and has recently conducted his brother Lennon Aldort's Symphony #3.
Aldort has performed in the USA, Canada and at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. He is a student of Lynn Harrell, and will be studying with Ronald Leonard at Colburn school starting Aug. 2010.
Oliver Aldort is playing on a cello awarded to him as a loan from the Carlsen Foundation for his exceptional musicianship and dedication.
